On Sunday we received information about six corona virus tests, they were all negative. We still have some uncertain days ahead of us, especially concerning those in quarantine.

In addition, there have been a number of outbreaks in municipalities not far from us, and today strong measures have been introduced in Bergen and the surrounding municipalities to prevent the spread of the more contagious variants of the virus. This means that we now encourage people to be extra careful when traveling in and out of the municipality, says mayor Arnstein Menes.

He asks people who may come from an area with high infection pressure, to consider self-imposed quarantine.

The mayor emphasizes that there is still a low threshold for testing in the entire municipality.

Nine people in Balestrand tested positive for the corona virus last week. All of these are adults, and no infection has been detected in municipal institutions.

Schools and kindergartens in the municipality will be open on Monday, and will be at the yellow level.
